Ok I was trying to help out a friend fix his Tippmann 98 custom the other day.

It had been sitting for a while all the O-rings are good powertube not cracked or damaged from what I can tell.
I oiled it up good still no luck.
Air her up and all we got was a fire fire "full auto" I adjusted the velocity all the way in and out with no diff. in velocity.
Had a good fill of air over 2k psi.

I haven't worked on much less taken a tippy apart in sometime.

I could be way off but Im thinking a new spring kit or new Valve are in need.

looking for any input that may help get this up and running.



P.S. I need a Powertube for a Response Trigger,
Cyclone I need the hose, mounting screw, Mounting Bracket.

I would check the hammer and sear to see if they are worn out. Make sure the spot where they meet is not rounded out from wear on either.

deff not worn out gun was only used a handful of times but ill check.

I had the same problem with my 98. Turns out I had the orange ball-latch in backwards and that was causing the front bolt to hang up on it when it tried to re-cock itself. Hope this helps
